This section presents the latest activities that enFAMILIA is carrying out in 2023 for the benefit of the Community with the collaboration of Guillermo Tafur, Juanita Olvera, Kati Martinez and Claudio Castellano.
SANTA CLAUS AT REDONDO SCHOOL IN THE CITY OF HOMESTEAD, FL.
Gift delivery by Santa Claus at El Colegio Redondo in the city of Homestead FL. 12-20-23; to 10 families who attended the Caring Parents program βNurturing Parentingβ for 15 weeks. EnFAMILIA and Redondo have been doing these programs since 2006 for 17 years.
Many thanks to the person in charge of Redondo, Mrs. Grace Salinas and the group of classes, as well as the participation of our officials Consolacion Pichardo and Fernando Tafur and the volunteer Marlene Ayala.
Fernando Tafur animated the delivery of the gifts by dressing up as Santa Claus, which he has done for the last three years.
END OF THE YEAR READING ACTIVITIES
Reading activities for the end of the year: Children carry out reading activities with certified teachers who help them improve their reading skills through stories, crossword puzzles and letter lottery. These activities are being carried out in the last week of School.

We started a new Fatherhood group at Camp Everglades. This program offers parenting skills especially for fathers to strengthen the bond of fatherhood.

The happiest month of the year has arrived in our Nurturing Parenting group. In this opportunity we shared with the families of delivery of toy donations for all the children of our community and participants of the group.
DELIVERY OF FAMILY CHRISTMAS GIFTS
Delivery of gifts on Wednesday, December 3 to the parents and children of the parenting program at the community center of the Everglades community. The EnFAMILIA staff met with the families of the community to have a Christmas afternoon and deliver gifts to the children and their families.
CHRISTMAS IN ENFAMILIA 2023
Celebrating Christmas 2023 and giving thanks for so many blessings. 22 people shared a delicious dinner, Mexican tamales. We share our stories of how we celebrate Christmas in our home countries. Finally, we share gifts with the secret friend!
NURTURING PARENTING PROGRAM
DECEMBER 06
Recently arrived parents from Mexico and Guatemala coming to pick tomatoes from the big growers paying them $20-$30 dollars a day. Here we see Fernando and Carlos facilitating the group of responsible parents. Today we distributed 120 gifts to approximately 60 students thanks to the Jewish Foundation. We are blessed.

Six professionals from this non-profit agency presented their experiential education and what they have learned and shared over the years living in the USA. The presentation took place on 11/30 and 12/1/23.
Thanks to Antonieta Franco RincΓ³n, Consolacion Pichardo, Kathiana Torres, Carlos Salgado, Fernando Tafur and Rocio Tafur-Salgado.
The participants, 35 of them, came for the second time as professors at the University of Quevedo in Ecuador.

Activities of the thanksgiving army carried out with the teachers and children of the 3 after school in the week of November 10-14 where they express the feeling of gratitude to ENFAMILIA as Afterschool and their teachers the children also gathered and gave thanks for something special.

On October 4th, Enfamilia was invited to Tapas at The Children's trust for a luncheon, we met with the CEO, and we were given a tour of their facilities. It was truly an honor to be able to share this moment, our CEOs Rocio Tafur-Salgado and Carlos Salgado were able to express what the children's trust means to us and our community.

In celebration of Hispanic heritage some of our students and Tutors dressed to represent their heritage, students shared fun facts about their clothing and about their culture.Β

During this month we partnered up with a community event named "Unidad 305" which we seeked to reach out to our community and let them know more of what we do as ENFAMILIA. Our team set out and greeted people from our community to offer our services.

During this week our South Dade center has taken on the task of making mask out of recycled materials and following shape patterns to create 3D mask. Our students are learning math skills while integrating art skills.
VOLUNTEER DAY
JULY 2023
Yesterday, July 18 we had our volunteer day in which early we honor all the volunteers who have helped us during the year. This includes our GL department as well as parent volunteers. We had a very nice dinner prepared by one of the mother volunteers and we were surprised with a Mariachi group that provided the entertainment.

In April, South Dade Camp students celebrated Easter. Students handmade their easter baskets, which they later used for an easter egg hunt activity. Students had a blast as they interacted with one another.
Our South Dade Center learned about the plant cycle in honor of Earth Day. For this month, their project consisted of growing different flowers for their center. The children put dirt and seeds into their pots and took turns watering them.

April 2023
In April, Everglades students worked on various activities throughout the month. One is creating different crafts, such as hats from recycled cardboard boxes. Students enjoyed learning about the importance of recycling and how it positively affects our environment while having fun and expressing their creativity.
Students also worked on school-related materials such as i-Ready.
For Easter, students had an Easter Egg Hunt! Children enjoyed using their social skills while picking up Easter eggs filled with fun fillers. It was a great outdoor activity for them to interact with each other and breathe fresh air.

In April, success coaches continue to work with families within the community daily to aid with the needed recourses.
On April 1, 2023, enFAMILIA partnered with "Liga Contra el Cancer" to provide free mammograms for women from the community who did not have insurance and were aged 40-60. As a result, we were able to service 29 women. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.

Group leaders continue to work on the new mural project and are excited to do the grand reveal once completed. The group leaders also participated in a beach clean-up at Black Point Marina in celebration of βEarth Day.β The group gathered at our enFAMILIA site and headed to help clean up our local beach area in Bayfront Park in Homestead. They encountered some wildlife remains and United to give back to the community.
FATHERHOOD PROGRAM
APRIL 2023
The fatherhood program strives to create healthy relationships between fathers and their children. Our group of fathers have completed the course alongside their mentors and gathered one last time on the beach to celebrate easter. Some fathers had never been to the beach and were very excited. It was an experience they would never forget!

In March, students enjoyed creating various arts and crafts activities, such as making paper houses and creating scratch-off art. Scratch-off art is said to help children with their creativity and problem-solving skills.
Students enjoyed creating paper fortune tellers during spring break and enjoyed quality time with their classmates.
In honor of Women's history month, students made reports about influential women artists throughout history.

In March, Redland camp students celebrated and learned about influential women throughout history. In addition, students wrote letters for important women, such as their mothers.
Students also celebrated St. Patrick's Day. They crafted four-leaf clovers and wrote things that made them feel lucky.
Students also reviewed comprehensive reading and learned how to find the main idea in reading using the short story "On a Picnic."

In March, the Group Leaders brought their ideas to life as they began making the first steps in creating the mural they had been working on for months. The mural is a representation of their unique community. The group leaders are very excited and inspired by their community and are making the mural in their honor.

In February, South Dade Camp students celebrated one hundred days of school.
Students also created do-it-yourself pinatas that they later filled with candy for the valentine's day holiday.
Students also learned about black history month and the important people that have impacted society throughout the years.

Success coaches continue to open new cases to aid families and work together to provide necessary resources for each family. Forty-five cases have been opened since the fiscal year from October 1, 2022.

In February, the Group Leaders were introduced to a new art form, "zines." Zines are typically handmade and are usually made from interest and passion. In February, casita A students learned about all the various careers they could succeed in today. Students created a book where they expressed the different career interests they have. Students participated in an outdoor activity using washable paint to bring their dreams to life; from police officers to nurses and astronauts, we know our students will one day positively impact society!

In February, in honor of "Black History Month," Casita B students learned about important people and events that contributed to bringing significant changes to theUnited States. Students wrote poems about how they would help those who have faced injustice.
Students also created zines. Students used magazine cutouts to create a story. Students enjoyed picking topics and making stories using their creativity and artistic skills.Β

In January, the Redland Camp "Nurturing Parenting Program." Completed fifteen sessions and was able to graduate twelve parents with their children. We are very proud of our parents for their time and dedication to completing this program, where they learned how to create healthy relationships with their children. Elementary School Students

In January, Everglades Camp elementary students practiced mathematics with their tutor and worked on different school projects.
Β Students got crafty as they created animals using different shapes out of recycled paper plates.
In addition, students also enjoyed their free time as they played musical chairs and had some outdoor playtime.

In January, South Dade Camp students worked on various arts and crafts, which helped them practice their fine motor skills and allowed them to work together. Students used leaves from trees to create their beautiful art.
Students also worked one on one with their teacher for DLI.
Β Students enjoyed some outdoor time as they played a game of basketball with their classmates.
Students in South Dade camp have a new program where they will be able to learn piano lessons. Students are very happy and excited about this program!

In January, Group Leaders had their first meeting of the new year! Students did an icebreaker art activity to get inspiration for the mural project that they would complete. After the icebreaker, students went outside to look at the wall where the mural would be placed as they discussed ideas and planned their next course of action.
